“Why You’re Stuck, and What You Can’t Do About It.”

If you're a chronic overthinker with a Ph.D. in self-awareness, but still can’t seem to get your act together, welcome. You are not alone, and you are not broken.

You know what needs to change. You’ve read the books. Listened to the podcasts. Maybe even booked a life coach (and ghosted them). And yet… when it comes down to actually doing the thing, you don’t.

Instead, you find the perfect excuse:
“I’ll start Monday.”
“I just need to feel more motivated.”
“I have a lot going on right now.”

Cue the slow slide back into Netflix, doom scrolling, or snacks shaped like your emotional damage. And before you know it, you’re neck-deep in the very same shitstorm you swore you'd clean up.

So, WTF? Why do you do this to yourself?

Why can’t you just logic your way out of it?

🧠 The Problem with the Brain Loop

Your conscious mind—the part of you that knows better—is only about 5% of your total mind power. That’s right. The smarty-pants part of your brain is just the tip of the mental iceberg.

The other 95%? That’s your subconscious—the quiet backstage boss running the show. It holds your habits, fears, emotional triggers, and that random third-grade moment when you peed your pants during Show-and-Tell. It’s also where your unhelpful, outdated patterns are stored like dusty old cassette tapes that keep playing on a loop.

And here’s the kicker: when you try to fix subconscious problems using conscious tools—like willpower, affirmations, or yelling at yourself in the mirror—you’re basically trying to row a leaky boat using a spaghetti noodle.

You might get somewhere… but mostly, you just get soggy.

🌀 What Hypnotherapy Does Differently

Hypnotherapy is like brain hacking with consent.
It quiets the noise of the conscious mind and opens the door to the real control room—your subconscious.

Think of it as updating your internal operating system:

You uninstall those outdated beliefs (like “I’m not good enough” or “I always screw things up”).

You rewrite the default scripts that run your reactions.

You install new beliefs that support where you want to go, not where you’ve been stuck.

It’s not magic—it’s mechanics. Gentle, subconscious mechanics that create lasting change without the grit-your-teeth struggle.

🙄 Hypnosis Doesn’t Work… Or Does It?

Let me tell you about a conversation I had the other night. I was at a friend’s house, and her boyfriend started yet again on his whole “I’m terrified to fly” routine.
Cue: sweaty palms, worst-case scenarios, and long rants about plane crashes.

He tells me, “I really want to get over it. I want you to help me.” (Spoiler: he doesn’t.)
Then he adds, “But I don’t believe in hypnosis.”

I smiled and said, “You don’t have to believe in hypnosis for it to work. Because you’ve already hypnotized yourself to believe it doesn’t work.”

He blinked, took a puff of his fear-avoidant joint, and completely missed the point. Meanwhile, I’m just standing there watching a self-induced hypnotic trance in real time.

Ironically, he’s in sales—professionally persuading people every day to buy his services. And yet, he hasn’t realized that sales = persuasion = hypnosis. He’s probably using hypnotic language every day on others, but doesn’t realize he’s doing it to himself, too. He thinks he’s a pretty good salesman. So he is. He also thinks he’s afraid to fly. So he is.

Hypnosis is all around you, and it can work in either direction! It can help you, or hinder you. Unfortunately, you don’t always get to pick which way it works for you!

🚨 When to Consider Hypnotherapy

Let’s get real. If…

You’ve been thinking about changing, but haven’t made progress

You feel stuck, even though you “know better”

You’ve read every book, hired every coach, tried every journal prompt, and still can’t get out of your own damn way

You keep rehashing the same issue like it’s a bad rerun of your own life

…then it’s time to stop trying to out-think your subconscious and start working with it.

🔮 Closing Call to Action

You are not lazy. You are not weak. You are not broken.
You’re just trying to use the wrong tool for the job.

Your subconscious runs the show, and hypnotherapy helps interpret what your subconscious is telling you, clearly, kindly, and powerfully.

If you’re tired of being stuck, maybe it’s time to allow hypnosis to help you dig out of your hole!
