FAQs

  • What is "Hypnosis?"

A natural, yet altered, state of mind where communication and responsiveness with the subconscious mind is present. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind with special identifying characteristics: 1. An extraordinary quality of relaxation. 2. An emotionalized desire to satisfy the suggested behavior: The person feels like doing what the hypnotist suggests, provided that what is suggested does not generate conflict with his belief system. 3. The organism becomes self-regulating and produces normalization of the central nervous system. 4. Heightened and selective sensitivity to stimuli perceived by the five senses and four basic perceptions. 5. Immediate softening of psychic defenses.

  • Can I be "Hypnotized?"

If your IQ is 70 or higher, you know and want what you’re being hypnotized for, you feel safe wherever you are being hypnotized, and you trust your hypnotist…you can be hypnotized. Many people think they can’t be hypnotized because they went to a hypnosis stage show and saw people doing things out of their comfort zone and they think “no way would I ever do that!” The purpose of stage hypnosis is to entertain others. The purpose of our sessions will be to get you to the next best version of yourself.

  • Will I get stuck in Hypnosis?

No. Even those in the deepest trance will come back to their full and regular waking consciousness when they get hungry or have to use the restroom.

  • Will Hypnosis make me lose control so I tell you my secrets and bank passwords?

No. I can’t make anyone do something in trance that goes against their moral code. However, you'll be surprised at what some people are willing to do!

  • How much are sessions? How many sessions will I need?

My current rates are posted at www.wingshypnosis.com/book-online. Because Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy are highly customized, personal services, I can’t really tell you how many sessions until I know what it is you wish to accomplish and how attainable that goal is.

  • How/When do I pay for my sessions?

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy sessions are paid in full prior to the start of each session. No shows and last minute cancellations are subject to a $35 rescheduling fee. I accept cash and payments via the CASH app, VENMO, ZELLE, PayPal, and all major credit cards through Square.

  • How long will my Hypnosis session be?

Your first session will almost always be 2 hours. After that, sessions will be 60 minutes, 90 minutes, or 2 hours, depending on the client's needs.

  • Do you do online hypnosis sessions?

Yes I do sessions via Facetime, Zoom, and Skype.

  • Are "In-Person" sessions better than "Online Sessions?"

You can get the same results with online sessions as you can with in-person sessions.

  • Do you do sessions in the evening or on weekends?

Yes. When you book your session, you'll see the times I'm available appear on the day of your choice.

  • Do you video or audio record sessions?

All sessions, office or online are digitally recorded. This is for 3 reasons: 1) clients may want to refer back to their session for something they missed or forgot 2) it helps jog my memory as to what our session was about 3) it protects myself from persons who may accuse me of illegal acts or ethical violations.
Audio recordings are saved in a Drop Box account and shared only with the client should they desire access. Files are saved with your identity protection in mind. At this writing, recordings are kept indefinitely for the reasons stated above.
If you do a session in my office, please know there are motion activated security camera in my office.

  • I see you do "Erotic Hypnosis" and "Erotic Hypnotherapy." What is that, and what's the difference?"

Erotic Hypnosis is using hypnotic suggestions to help a client achieve a particular sexual objective. Erotic Hypnotherapy is using hypnotherapy modalities to transform sexual issues.

I'm one of the few people in the country that specializes in working with Swingers, Nudists, Kinksters and Fetishists, thanks to my background in performing comedy for this niche market for 10+ years. For more information on these services, please visit my other website,

  • Why the name "Wings Hypnosis?"

I have a gift for dropping in to people's lives at the exact moment they need me. I have a history of helping others move to a higher place, much like an angel, but more in a spiritual sense then a religious one. To represent this gift, I got a back tattoo of angel wings with piano keys placed in the wings (I've played piano since I was 2). I got the tattoo while I was taking care of my mother and going through my divorce, and it reminded me always to rise above.

  • Do you accept health insurance?

No, I do not accept health insurance. All services are self pay and due before or at the time of your session.

If you find that your insurance company does cover hypnosis services, I'm happy to provide you with an invoice you can submit for reimbursement.

  • Why do you charge for a consultation?

Unfortunately, I had too many people schedule consultations because they were curious about my work, and then didn't show for the appointment. While I do charge for the consultation, you can apply the consultation fee to your first session or package of sessions.

  • How long will my Hypnosis suggestions last?

This largely depends on the goal of the session, but suggestions can be set to last for a day or a lifetime, or set to activate when certain things happen or certain words are said. We are often working towards permanent life changes so those suggestions are intended to last a lifetime. If a suggestion is not working, it’s usually because the client has an unconscious block. Subsequent hypnosis sessions will help uncover those. In my experience, clients with multiple traumas in their past have more issues to work through and will require more sessions. Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy is not like surgery - one session and you’re instantly better. It took your mind YEARS to make the neural pathways it’s already made. Making new ones can take time. However, multiple studies have shown Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy to be faster and much more effective in making permanent life changes than traditional mental health counseling. A classic hypnosis study found that on average, patients required just six hypnotherapy sessions with a 93-percent recovery rate. Psychoanalysis, on the other hand, required roughly 600 sessions with just a 38-percent recovery rate. I’ve had several clients visit a mental health practitioner for 10-15+ years with so-so results, and within as few as 2 sessions working with me they are off their medication and happier than they’ve been in years.

  • I was hypnotized before, but I either wasn't hypnotized or it didn't work.

Thanks to misrepresentation in the media and movies, people "expect" Hypnosis to be mind control or forced into doing things. With Hypnosis, you're very much aware of what's going on, and very much in control of the whole process. If your previous hypnosis session(s) didn't work, it is usually because of one or more of these factors: you didn't know or want what you were being hypnotized for, you didn't trust your hypnotist, you didn't feel safe being hypnotized, you had unreasonable explanations of what hypnosis is.

Clients who choose to work with me find themselves in a partnership. We work together the whole way so you know EXACTLY what you're being hypnotized for. There is no mind control, you remember the entire session (and there's a recording for the few who don't remember their session), and you are given tools that you can use to recreate your experience and intensify your results long after the session is over.
