About Traci

As a skilled hypnotist, Traci leverages over 50 different hypnosis and healing techniques in her sessions. Her comedic and improvisational skills mean she can effortlessly adjust her treatment approach mid-session to cater to her client’s specific needs. This training also proves handy when a client needs to “break a bad trance”. After all, nothing interrupts a negative thought pattern better than a hearty chuckle! She now shares her knowledge with fellow hypnotists, teaching them how to infuse laughter into their sessions through her proprietary technique known as The Hilarity and Hypnosis Approach.

Traci’s sense of fun and creativity spills over into her property management business too. She purchases condos, renovates them and puts them up for rent on Airbnb. Interestingly, most of these condos are located in the very nudist resort that she calls home. Each condo boasts a funky theme, like “Go Ask Alice”, “Boogie Nights”, and the fabulous “CU@R2D2’s” Star Wars-themed condo. Apart from managing properties, Traci, along with her boyfriend Doug, organizes monthly golf cart parades and holiday potlucks for the resort residents. They also serve as therapy humans for Thelma and Louise (Siamese furballs of indifference) and Macauley (the glo betta fish that surprisingly greets them when they return home!).

Traci's comedic career took an interesting turn when she found her niche - entertaining swingers, nudists, and people involved in the BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, masochism) lifestyle. These connections led her to become an expert in the field of Erotic Hypnotherapy for “Sexually Adventurous Adults”. Whether it's helping individuals fulfill specific sexual goals or alleviating symptoms triggered by uncontrolled kinks or fetishes, Traci's approach is as unique as they come. In the end, whether it's conducting a hypnosis session, performing on stage, running businesses, or simply throwing parades for nudists, Traci Kanaan brings an unparalleled level of hilarity and hypnotism to every aspect of her life!

Under the supervision of Dr John M Gullo, Traci became the only other Medical Hypnotist in the world. Dr Gullo has since retired, and has trusted Traci to carry on his hypnosis work and studies.

This is the basic training for any hypnotist. You learn what hypnosis is, how to hypnotize someone, put them into trance, give them basic suggestions, and get them out of trance. I received two Certified Hypnotist trainings, my first through The National Federation of Neuro-Lingustic Programming in Venice, FL and my second through Virginia Hypnosis in Franconia, VA.

This certification taught me how to incorporate hypnotic language when I give a talk or presentation. I received this training from The San Diego Institute of Hypnotherapy in San Diego, CA.

I’ve had 300+ hours of training in facilitating childhood regressions with my clients. Childhood is where most issues begin, so being able to take a client into the past and transform an experience into an empowering future is often significant in helping my clients get from where they are now to where they want to be. I received my training from The Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy in Tampa, FL.

I’ve been trained to use hypnosis and teach others how to hypnotize themselves for pain management, including but not limited to dental work, hypnosis for child birth, and chronic pain relief. I received my training from The Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy in Tampa, FL.

I’ve studied Macro and Micro-cosmology, Reincarnation, Karma, Dharma, Past Life Regression, Life Between Life Regression, Out of Body Experiences, Remote Viewing, Spiritual Growth, Meditation, Mindfulness, Alien Abduction, and Entity Release. I work within the belief systems of my client and honor where they are in their spiritual journey. I received my training from The Florida Institute of Hypnotherapy in Tampa, FL.

In addition to my 10 years experience working with swingers and the BDSM community, I’ve had additional training in working with the LGBTQA community: lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, queers, and asexuals. There are only a handful of Sexual Freedom Hypnosis Practitioners in the US. I received my training from Sexual Freedom Hypnosis in the UK.

Face Reading first appeared in China in the 6th Century B.C. Doctors in China have used the ancient science of face reading since the time of Confucius as an aid to diagnose their patients. The Chinese believe that the face represents the energies, health, and tendencies of a person. I’ve been studying Chinese Face Reading for several years now and use these skills to communicate more effectively with my clients and to help identify deeper issues my client may not be aware of consciously. I received my training from The San Diego Institute of Hypnotherapy in San Diego, CA.

NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programing. Basically, this is the study of re-programming your mind for maximum effectiveness. Successful people think differently than unsuccessful people. By studying how successful people think and emulating those thoughts, we all can achieve success in our own lives. I can put someone into a hypnotic state and giving them suggestions, but if I don’t word the suggestions correctly then the time was wasted. Training in NLP ensures I give my clients powerful suggestions for maximum impact and effectiveness.

Being an ordained minister allows me to legally “touch” my clients (taps on the wrist, occasional hugs), whereas “touching clients” is typically a no-no in mental health practices. I also use it to lead non-mainstream ceremonies, such as honoring newly formed polyamorous families, renewing vows for married couples at swinger conventions, or Collaring ceremonies.
