Reclaiming My Own Muchness
Oct 05, 2026So…it’s hard to believe it’s been a year since my last blog.
Let’s just say I experienced several unpleasant, stressful life changes that ultimately led me to a pretty beautiful place in my life.
Would I have chosen the route that got me here?
Hell no.
Would I recommend it as a personal-growth strategy?
Also no.
But sometimes life has a funny way of clearing your calendar, rearranging your priorities, and smacking you upside the head with a few lessons you apparently weren’t learning the easy way.
I can’t say I’m completely done sorting through all of it, but I’ve had plenty of time to think, process, reevaluate, and adjust accordingly.
And there have been some BIG adjustments.
I Closed My Office
Since about 85% of my clients were already seeing me virtually, I made the decision in July to close my office at Copperstone.
That was a bigger emotional decision than I expected.
Having an office felt like something I was supposed to have. It was tangible. Professional. Official.
But eventually I had to ask myself: Why am I maintaining something simply because I think I’m supposed to?
That question has come up a LOT for me this year.
So, Wings Hypnosis is now primarily virtual.
I will still occasionally see clients in person, so if you really prefer an in-person session, email me and we can see what arrangements can be made.
Then We Bought an RV
Because apparently I wasn't making enough life changes already.
In February, my husband and I bought an RV.
And then we did something we had talked about doing for years:
We left.
We just returned from spending three months traveling around the country, seeing national parks, exploring strange little towns and roadside oddities, and visiting family and friends we hadn’t seen in years.
There were spectacular views.
There were adventures.
There were mechanical issues.
There were moments when living in a relatively small box with your spouse tested the limits of marital diplomacy.
And there were two 16-year-old Siamese cats along for the ride, because apparently we like to travel on Expert Mode.
It was wonderful.
And it changed me.
Somewhere Along the Way, I Slowed Down
For three months, I dramatically reduced my workload.
And something interesting happened.
I felt better.
I had more time to think. More time to laugh. More time to create. More time to simply experience my life instead of constantly trying to accomplish something in it.
That realization has caused me to rethink what I want the next chapter of Wings Hypnosis—and my life—to look like.
For years, much of my work has revolved around working with people one-on-one. I love that work, and I'm not giving it up.
But I also realized there are only so many people I can help when my calendar is filled one person at a time.
So I'm changing things.
What Comes Next
Going forward, I’ll still be available for private 1:1 hypnosis and coaching sessions, but I’ll only be scheduling them a few days each week.
The rest of my time?
I want to teach.
I want to create.
I want to bring people together.
I want to do more group coaching, classes, workshops, courses, hypnosis recordings, writing, and a few other creative projects that have been bouncing around inside my brain waiting for me to give them some attention.
In other words, I want to expand my influence without expanding my stress level.
What a concept.
And maybe that’s the biggest thing this past year has taught me:
You are allowed to change your mind about what you want your life to look like.
You’re allowed to stop doing things that once made sense but don’t anymore.
You’re allowed to outgrow roles, routines, expectations, and even versions of yourself.
You’re allowed to slow down.
You’re allowed to choose differently.
And you don’t necessarily have to wait until life hits you over the head with a metaphorical folding chair to do it.
Reclaiming My Own Muchness
For years, I’ve talked about helping people get unstuck, quiet the mental chatter, laugh more, and reclaim their Muchness.
Turns out I needed a little reminder myself.
This past year wasn’t always fun.
But it made me take a hard look at what I was doing, what I wanted, what mattered, and what I was ready to leave behind.
And somewhere between Florida, national parks, campgrounds, family visits, roadside weirdness, RV mishaps, laughter, tears, and thousands of miles of highway, I started figuring it out.
I don't know exactly what this next chapter will look like yet.
And strangely, I'm okay with that.
I know I want more laughter.
More teaching.
More creativity.
More connection.
More adventures.
More time with people I love.
And a whole lot less doing things simply because I think I'm supposed to.
So yes…it’s been a year since my last blog.
I have a little catching up to do.
And I have a feeling there’s going to be a lot more to talk about.
Stay tuned.
Laugh louder. Live lighter. Love larger.
